About Bristol
Bristol is the United Kingdom's 8th most populous city with about 400,000 people, and the most populous city in Southern England after London. Bristol is renowned for its current and historical art scene, including events and festivals which are offered all year round catering for an eclectic mix of interests.
Bristol is the kind of place where you can shut off a main street to install a public water slide, watch a magic show while you eat dinner, and go to year-round festivals that celebrate everything from street art to sea shanties.
Located in southwest England, Bristol is about 1.5 hours away from London, and 30 minutes from Cardiff, the capital of Wales. With excellent shopping, a vibrant social scene, and glorious scenery, Bristol has been ranked the #1 place to live in Britain according to the Sunday Times, a British newspaper.
